There were many problems with the Indian removal act one was how they were threatened if they didnt leave their land, another was how much they lacked the supplies needed to provide for all of the moving indians.
it was also very rude of them to promise a great journey where the indians needs would be provided with supplies and food but they pretty much got lied to
in my opinion the compromise would be to let them have time to think and prepare for thier long journey ahead of them.
One lesson that we learned was that its never going to end up well when you force a huge group of people
Another lesson that the U.S. learned is that when we forced the indians to move and didnt keep our promises it caused then to not trust us and not want to cooperate anymore.
The last lesson we learned was that again because we forced them out they didnt trust us anymore, showed political corrupto\ion,and we couldnt make treaties with indians anymore.
