Storyboard Text

  • Montressor meets Fortunato at carnival
  • Montressor mentions Amontillado to Fortunato
  • Amontillado
  • Fortunato has a coughing fit in Montressor's house
  • I chose brightly colored houses because it's the carnival, and I put Montressor in sepia filter because he's not as colorful as Fortunato, who is in color and wearing a jester costume. You can't see it because of the sepia filter, but I gave Montressor red eyes, to show his desire for revenge.
  • Montressor drinks to Fortunato's long life- "long life"
  • Fortunato loves wine, especially Amontillado, so Montressor can manipulate him by telling him about Amontillado somewhere. Here, Fortunato is making a surprised/happy face.
  • Fortunato and Montressor go into the catacombs
  • I gave Montressor an angry face (but now I forget why). Fortunato has a hand to his mouth and is leaning forward, to show that he is coughing.
  • Fortunato is dead; Montressor is victorious
  • I couldn't find a wine glass picture, so instead I combined shapes. (I accidentally put a faint half circle by Fortunato's head and I couldn't get it to go away.) Those glasses are cute aren't they? (big glasses, apparently) I made the doors open because they are about to leave.
  • Fortunato has one leg up, because he is antsy to get to the Amontillado (as he was in all the panels). I made the torch flames red because of certain death. Montressor has that evil face and pose because he is about to make that certain death.
  • Montressor has just killed Fortunato. I made Fortunato lying in the corner, and maybe a little smaller to show distance. Montressor is cropped from the waist up and made bigger. I mde his arms as high as they can go, as if he's saying, "WOOOHOOO! FORTUNATO IS DEAD! VICTORY DANCE!!"
