Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Margot is an earth-born girl who lives on Venus, where it rains all the time.
  • The other children dislike Margot, probably because she was born on Earth and knows what the sun looks like.
  • Conflict
  • Margot believes this day will be the day the sun comes out, for it only comes out once every seven years. The other children ostracize her for this.
  • Rising Action
  • Margot gets into an argument with the children, so they shove her into a closet and lock her in. The sun then comes out, so the other children go out to enjoy it.
  • Climax
  • The children enjoy the sun without a second thought of Margot, who is still in the closet.
  • Falling Action
  • Resolution
  • It's only after the sun has gone and the heavy rain has started is when the children remember to free Margot, who is still in the closet.
