Storyboard Text

  • Ethos
  • I will definitely start eating at Subway. I can have the same results as you.
  • Hello, I am Brad Pitt and I have been eating Subway sandwiches for over a year.  During this time, I have lost over 40 pounds by eating healthy with Subway. You should consider eating at Subway so you can have the same results as me
  • Pathos
  • With your monthly donation of 65¢, you can help find these pets a home. No ones want to see homeless pets, so go ahead and be generous so there will be one less pet without a home.
  • Logos
  • As you can see, the information on the board shows an increase in sales. More people have been buying our product.
  • You are correct! You can also see that we have more customers than we had before.
  • This example of ethos uses the celebrity, Brad Pitt, as an endorser for Subway. Being that he lost weight, others would assume that if they ate at Subway as well; they would have the same results.
  • This example of pathos wants to appeals to the audiences' emotional state. It tries to persuade the viewer to make a donation because of the pity and sympathy that goes out to homeless animals, Being that many people will want to help after seeing an example like above, they would be more inclined to make donations.
  • This example of logos uses logic and the facts/evidence that can be used to persuade or convince the reader. There are concrete facts that show how the product is being bought more and the example also shows how the number of people is increasing as well.
