Storyboard Description

For Meyer's class

Storyboard Text

  • Hey, I'm Sarah! I've been living here for quite a while and I've noticed some pretty neat stuff around my house. I live in Africa!
  • So if you don't mind, I'd like to show you the awesome stuff around here!
  • You see the brown parts of the dirt? That's not just D-I-R-T. It's something called alluvial soil. It's pretty neat. This is where rich soil is at and it's made up of mud and sand! This is all deposited running water.
  • Now I need to walk along the Sahel. Fun fact!! This is also known as the African Transition Zone.
  • In order for me to get to the town I'd like to go to, I also need to pass by a delta!
  • This is a Sahel! It is a bridge of land that is going from one side to another.
  • This is the delta! The delta is formed by sand and silt and it is downstream. We are at the mouth of the river where it is deposited.
  • These are one of the many deserts in Africa! In the desert, I need to be careful of harmattan.
