  • It was a dreary midnight in bleak December. When the narrator was reading a book and started to fall asleep. When he heard a tapping at his chamber door. Then he started thinking of the death Lenore. He tried calming himself down; hoping for tomorrow.
  • Falling Action
  • He kept hearing the tapping at his chamber door. He was very scared and nervous. He went over to the chamber door and opened it. When he opened it there was nothing but complete darkness.
  • Resolution
  • Flung the shutters open and a Raven flew in and perched his self on top of his chamber door. He wanted to know why the Raven had sat there and wouldn't move. He didn't know if it was because of Lenore or if he was sending him a messege.
  • Allusion
  • Made! Raven will not leave! Also, the Raven wont tell him why he is there.
  • "Nevermore"
  • Raven never fluttered and still sat above his chamber door. All the bird would say was "Nevermore''. The bird sat there and never moved so he left him there and always remained in suspense.
  • UGHHHHH!!!!
  • "Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door-"
