At midnight, he took the doorposts from the gate of the city and took them to the mountains facing Hebron. There, he found a woman near the brook named Delilah.
Mountains facing Hebron
Many Philistines went over to Delilah and offered her 1,100 silver coins for her to ask Samson what gives him his special powers. She begged many times and Samson lied every timme such as saying that tying rope or cutting his hair would make him ordinary.
The Philistines captured him after his hair was cut and they gouged out his eyes and tied him up with copper chains. The Philistines now prayed to their God Dagon that their enemy Samson was now weakened.
Samson was tied to two pillars in a place that had many people surrounding him. He prayed to G-d and with all his might, he brought down the pillars and killed more people that he has killed his whole life.
Samson ruled Israel for 20 years before he was buried in the same burial place as his father, Manoah. He was buried in between Zorah and Eshtaol.
