Building Quality Culture
Hi Mostafa, How do you describe the progress of the Quality function in the last couple of years?
Hi Baher... 2014 was the year of "Foundation", where we developed a system for managing processes which have an impact on products' quality
Then 2015 must have been the year of "Implementation", Right?
Exactly... In 2015, we started running the developed system to ensure that our processes are under control & that we offer our patients high quality products
Does this mean that we are done? Is there anything further we can do?
On the contrary, 2016 is the year of "Improvement"... We can start assessing our performance, analyze our trends, challenge status quo & redesign our processes for more effeciency
Yes, Now you are talking... I have a question, is the same process of developing, implementing & improving a system only applicable to quality processes?
Absolutely not... Quality is a perspective which can be applied to any process or function regardless its scope
But what would we gain if we implemented the quality principles on other non quality processes?
We can reduce costs, increase profits, meet & exceed customers' & partners expectations
This sounds logical... I wonder why people think Quality is complicated... Some even say it is like "Chinese"
As long as we do not give ourselves a chance to understand it, Quality will always sound complicated.... Welcome to China Baher...
