Will you give me a drink?
You are a jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. How could you ask me for something like this?
Jesus said 'If you knew the gift of god, and whom is asking for water, you would of asked and gotten for live water'. The woman doubted him, and said he could not get water from a well that deep, and asked him if he was greater than Jacob.
Jesus said that if you drink from the water he gives you you will never thirst, and so the woman said 'Give me this water so I won't have to come here to draw water'. Jesus said 'Call your husband' and she said she doesn't have one.
Jesus said she was right, and said she had 5 other husbands before but divorced, and the man she was with now, she was shocked as Jews and Samaritans had no connection. She believed he was a prophet. Jesus said she worshipped what she did not know.
Jesus said that there is a time that will come where they will neither worship on the mountain or Jerusalem, he preached to her, saying that we follow what we know. The woman said the Messiah was coming, and Jesus was he.
