Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • I'll do it!
  • Atticus Tom has been accused of raping Mayella and I want you to represent Tom.
  • I understand if you say no, this comes with a big burden.
  • Conflict
  • In the small town of Maycomb nothing interesting ever happened. The only thing that grabbed people's attention was the Radley familly. Until Tom Robinson was accused of raping Mayella Ewell. The person defending Tom is Atticus and his son and daughter, Jem and Scout.
  • Climax
  • I'm sorry I lost the case. I wish I it had a better ending.
  • This isn't right! We should have won!
  • Atticus excepts the job to represent Tom. Kids start to make fun of Jem and Scout because their dad is representing a black man. But as the court day approaches Jem becomes more excited.
  • Falling Action
  • I'll get you and your whole family if its the last thing  I do!
  • The conflict throughout the story is about Tom going against Maycomb's racism and about the case. Also, Jem and Scout still wonder about Boo Radley and if he will ever come out.
  • Resolution
  • Atticus lost the Tom Robinson case. This devastated Jem because he believed Atticus had won. This is when Jem realizes that his town is racist and he didn't want anything to do with it.
  • Bob Ewell approaches Atticus and threatens him, Jem, and Scout. This leaves the kids worried that Bob Ewell will follow through with his threat to Atticus.
  • Bob Ewell follows through with his threat and attacks Jem and Scout. Scout is pushed and unable to get up. Then Jem fights his attacker but is knocked out and broke his arm. Then Boo Radley comes out of hiding, kills Bob Ewell, and saves the children.
