To My Dear and Loving Husband (Revisited) - The whole poem sounded like a wedding toast since it strongly focuses on love and spending the rest of their life with each other.
The reader states to her husband that their love for each other is forever lasting. She also says, that she wants their love to last even after death.
Symbolism: The author's love her husband show's that it is it's own treasure and will last in the afterlife. In this line the speaker says,"I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,Or all the riches that the East doth hold."
The speaker's attitude is has compassion love yet, it has a serious tone.
The speaker starts to get deeper into the meaning of love in by stating,"The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray, Then while we live, in love let’s so persever,That when we live no more we may live ever." The speaker is saying that even though they won't be together in the afterlife that the will be together in spirit.
