  • With eye-catching posts, coffee-inspired information, and fun contests via Facebook; Starbucks keeps customers interested in their product, and causes a social media buzz about the latest in coffee & their corporation.
  • Starbucks uses Twitter in a strategic way; while they still post as they do via Facebook, it is not as frequently. Twitter is Starbucks social media outlet for customers, communicating directly with the positive and negative feedback.
  • Instagram is where Starbucks shines with their communication; simple picture posts related to coffee time, tea time, coffee culture, etc. Pinterest is where Starbucks customers utilize social media to discuss their favorite brand and products sold through them.
  • Starbucks also uses a rewards program to communicate effectively with their customers. Through loyalty points, and "stars" earned, a customer can earn discounts and free product. This program is communicated through a cell phone application, and promoted through social media networks.
