Bonaparte landed in Egypt to disrupt Indian trade routes. He eluded a British fleet, captured the port of Malta, and planned to capture more places with 35,000 troops.
Napoleon sailed to Egypt in hopes of disrupting Indian trade routes. He arrived with 35,000 troops after eluding a British fleet and capturing Malta.
Napoleon came across the pyramids and 10,000 Mamelukes. His men held their formation and repelled the Mamelukes.
After the British stranded me in Egypt, I marched into Syria with 13,000 men. After this, the Sultan of Turkey declared war on the French. During my siege of Acre, hundreds of French soldiers died in battle and more due to the Bubonic plague. My chances of victory were fading and the morale among my troops was low. France was at war with Austria, Britain, and Russia. Soon after I secretly fled back to France.
