Bill hope Ebenezer is very fond of his son.
Gentlemen I received your letter today by post, in regard to the ransom of you ask for the return of my son. I think you're high in your demands, and I'll make you a counter-proposition, which you would like. You bring Johnny home and pay me $250 in cash, and I agree to take him off your hands.I couldn't be responsible for what the neighbors would do to anybody they saw bringing him back. respectfully Ebenezer Dorset.
Three days fly by.
Yeah, what's $250 when you can get rid of the boy!!?
Let's return the boy with $250 at night.
Bill read the mail and with a sad but hopeful face he got back to his hideout.
Not what he expect to see but that would do.
So they returned the boy with $250 to his dad at night.
