  • You're weird and I just don't like you and hey at least I'm not going to kill you like the Anglo-Saxons!!
  • As Grendel and Beowulf battled across them.
  • Why did you have to be a jerk and take me to court ....
  • This reminds me of what our class talked about the other day!!
  • Oh yea, well what was that all about....
  • So Hrothgar's men lived happy in his hall, till the monster stirred, that demon, that fiend, Grendel, wo haunted the moors, the wild...
  • In Beowulf, Grendel is an outsider, no one likes him because he is different. Can someone tell me how they dealt with this and how it is different now?
  • Bob (on the left) took Barbra (on the right) to court for walking into his group session at the acting school. He doesn't like her because she is different from the rest of the people, but she didn't do anything wrong.
  • But...... in today's world if someones different we most of the time cause trouble or find things we can do to get them in trouble, so instead of killing someone we make them feel worse
  • Well, the humans didn't accept Grendel because he was different and caused trouble which caused Grendel to be upset and eat everyone.
  • Bob flashes back to his group decision with the class.
  • Yea, your joke makes more sense now!! Well I'm glad you're not putting me to my death!!
  • You most definitely don't want that! Plus I'm not the killer type anyways haha!!
  • Bob teaches the students about how different they treated Grendel then, to how they would probably treat Grendel now.
  • Well just so we are clear I'm Grendel and your Beowulf, but in this story Grendel wins!!! HAHA
  • I wish it was the Anglo-Saxon period...
  • The kids describe that in Beowulf it would usually cause killing and violence but in today's world we tend to punish people and slander them. Which I think would cause even worse problems and makes people feel very insecure.
  • By God, punished forever for the crime of Abel's death.
  • Bob had gotten an opportunity to teach Barbra something new today! Bob in a sense is alienating Barbra like the people did to Grendel, just because she was different and he didn't understand her, it caused him to react in a harsh way.
  • And there's more: you murdered your brothers, your own close kin.
  • The End.
  • To bring wood for Beowulf's funeral: "Now the fire must feed on his body, flames grow heavy and black....
