I am Genghis Khan. The isolation of Mongolia, my home land allows my people to grow stronger and our technologies to gradually improve.
Our people were trained to ride horses at about the age of 4. The saddle and stirrups allowed us to wield a bow and arrow which could penetrate enemies from a great distance.
After uniting the nomadic tribes of the Mongolian plateau, I conquered huge chunks of central Asia and China. My descendants expanded the empire even further advancing to such far-off places Poland, Vietnam, Syria, and Korea. At our peak, the Mongols controlled between 11 and 12 million contiguous square miles, and area about the size of africa.
The Mongols failed to take over Japan, because the great armada sailed out into open waters strait into the arms of an approaching typhoon.
We the Mongols increased communication throughout Eurasia by developing a pony express like system of weigh stations with horses and riders that could quickly relay information
We were tolerant of different religions.
We spread different cultural cuisines across the silk road.
My name is Kublai and I was thought of as the greatest Yuan Dynasty ruler. I am a grandson of Genghis Khan. I had a comparatively long rule and reformed the empire to increase his power and make the empire prosper. I conquered the Song Empire and Dali kingdom.
