The typical life of a woman in the early 1800s consisted of being the basic housewife. But we were capable of more than just cleaning a house.
Us women are not appreciated and I will not take it anymore. I should be able to vote and be heard. Just because I am a women does not mean I am incapable or my ideas do not matter!
Seneca Falls Convention 1848
"all men and women are equal...", the starter of the Declaration of Sediments. This will declare that we ARE equal and deserve better.
Men were commonly seen teaching around this time and there were not many schools. Only the wealthy could afford and excluded women from teaching.
Now Horace Mann fought that education should be free and that ALL children need to be in schools. And that there needs to be professional teachers.
Soon enough, with women gaining more rights, they were able to start becoming teachers. This was because they fought for what was right and deserved. Women's voices were being heard and making a change.
