  • Even though it was a cold wet night the White family had the fire burning brightly in the living room father and son were at chess and they were all waiting for the arival of their friend Srg. Major-Morris.
  • Climax
  • Thier soon is a knock on the door and it turns out to be their friend Morris has arrived until,Mr.white brings up the monkeys paw and Morris warns him soon after if he is going to wish for something wish for something sensible.When Morris leaves the family decides to wish for the most sensible thing they can think of, 200 pounds. They will use this to pay off the house.
  • Falling Action
  • The next day the White family was joking around about what will happen if they ever see the 200 pounds. Herbert then leaves for work but later that day he never returns and Mr and Mrs.White look out the window and see a guy wearing fancy clothes who hesitates to go past their gate . When he arrives at their house he tells Mr and Mrs White about the accident and how Herbert is no longer in pain .This member of the company then tells them the company would like to give them 200 pounds. Mr. White passes out and Mrs.White shrieks.
  • Resolution
  • One night after Mr.White makes the 2nd wish which Mrs.White insists on, a little while after there is a knocking on the door. Mrs.White goes downstairs to let the thing in while Mr.White searches for the paw. Just as Mrs.White unlocks the door Mr.White makes his final wish.
  • Th knocking stops and when Mrs.White opens the door she sees nothing and wails in dissapointment.
  • Mr.White rushes down to Mrs.White and then they go out past the gate to a deserted street.
