Silao is one of the important spots in Victors journey because it is the starting point of his journey. And he meets Miguel on the bus in Silao and Miguel is a very important person later in the book.
What is important about about Mazátlan was that Victor meet Julio and they both became freinds and they got on a freight train together to head to Nogales.
The mountains is an very important place because that's were most of the journeys are and alot of drama happens were Miguel had fallen and had to be left behind and a man took Victor to the border patrol when Victor got in his tool box .
Nogales is an important place because that's were Victor meets Rico and Rico is a good freind. And Victor and Rico share there sad stories about trying to go to the United State's. Then they both decide that they will try again to go to the united states. And we figure out that Rico is not verey smart about his money and spends it on stupid things like ice cream.
Sasabe is a very important place becuase thats is were Rico potrays Victor into being a drug mule and victor was really mad. But then when there taking a break from walking through the desert Rico overhears that mosquito the drug cartel and the other leaders of the drug mules are going to kill them. So Rico and Victor run when they got the chance.
Washington is an important place because that's where Rico and Victor find a job and Rico sends his first paycheck to his family wich was $2,500. Then Rico leaves victor to go back to his family because he missed them.
