  • "Don't spend all that money without me!"
  • On a dark and rainy night , Mr. white and his son Herbert where playing chess. Mrs. white was knitting, they had everything needed.
  • Climax
  • I wish for him dead!
  • Unexpectedly Sargent Major Morris showed up at the Whites house,in the middle of nowhere. Morris was talking about a paw he acquired from a fakir in India. He said that the paw could give 3 seprit men 3 seprite wishes. Mr. white was very interested. Morris threw threw paw in the fire and quickly Mr.White picked it out and wanted to keep it. Morris said okay but be cautious. Morris left with that warning. Herbert suggested that they wish for 200 pounds to pay off the house, so the Mr.white picked up the paw and wished for 200 pounds; the paw moved in his hand like a snake.
  • Falling Action
  • NOOO WHYYY!!!
  • The next morning Herbert went off to work, "saying don't spend the money without me". Later in the day there was still no money, but Mrs. White sees a man hesitating to come inside the gate that leads to the house. Finally he comes to the door and Mrs.white opens it. He says that your son, Herbert, he is hurt but not in pain. At first Mrs. White did not get that he meant that their son was dead, but then she understood. The man hands them 200 pounds for the loss of their son. After a funeral and a little time pass Mrs. White makes Mr. White use their 2nd wish to bring Herbert back from the dead.
  • Resolution
  • Nothing.
  • Mrs.White hears something at the door, so she runs to let it in; Mr. White grabs the paw and wishes for Herbert dead again because he knows bad consequences come from using that paw.
  • The noise stops, but Mrs.White opens the door just to see nothing there. She cries in disappointment.
  • Mr.White rushes down to Mrs.White to go out past the gate to a deserted street.
