  • Exposition
  • I beat you father!
  • I think I hear knocking at the door
  • Rising action
  • If you don't want it Morris then let me keep it.
  • This is no good it only brings danger nothing good comes from this paw.
  • Rising action
  • I am sorry but your son has died we want to give you two hundred pounds for Herbert's death
  • Mr. White and Herbert are playing chess and Mrs. white is knitting.
  • Climax
  • Don't open the door, don't let that thing in the house.
  • Sgt. Major Morris arrives. He tells him about the paw. He throws it into the fire. Mr. White keeps it for himself. Sgt. Major Morris warns them about the wishes. Mr. White wishes for two hundred pounds.
  • Falling action
  • Herbert goes to work and dies. The White's get two hundred pounds for his death.
  • Resolution
  • They wish Herbert back to life and they hear knocking at the door. Before Mrs. White opens the door Mr. White makes the third wish for his son to go back to the grave.
  • *Knock Knock*
  • That is my boy he is here.
  • The knocking stops and Mrs. White opens the door and her son isn't there
  • They go outside and saw an empty street.
