This leaves Macbeth next in line to the throne and he becomes king, fulfilling the second prophecy.
But with the witches' other prophecy in mind, that Banquo's children will be king, Macbeth orders for Banquo and his son Fleance to be killed, but Fleance escapes.
At a royal banquet, Macbeth sees Banquo's ghost sitting in his chair and starts to go crazy. All the other Scottish nobleman become suspicious of him.
Macbeth goes to see the witches again and they tell him that he can't be killed by anyone who is born woman and he is not in danger under Birnham forest moves towards him. He feels safe because he knows both those things cannot happen. He is also told to beware of Macduff!
Macbeth then orders Macduff's family to be killed as he is scared of him.
Macduff is in England though as he has gone to get Malcolm (Duncan's son) and form an army
