Chris and Ashley are the dentist and their going to tell you all about how to look after your teeth! Your teeth are very important! The milk teeth you have at the moment are going to fall out between the ages of 6 and 9 so appreciate them while you have them! Your nashers need alot of looking after so carry on reading to find out how to give your teeth the love they deserve.
It is important for children to have lots of calcium, e.g. milk, so that their teeth are strong and healthy. Caring for your teeth as a child means you will be able to care for your teeth as an adult, and hopefully have no problems in the future.
Your teeth are made from a substance called enamel. Enamel is very strong but it does have some enemies that are even stronger. These are called bacteria and with out help your teeth can't defend themselves and therefore they will begin to rot and get very unhealthy!
When you're choosing a toothpaste, make sure it contains fluoride. Fluoride makes your teeth strong and protects them from cavities. When you brush, you don't need a lot of toothpaste: just squeeze out a bit the size of a pea.
Be sure your toothbrush has soft bristles! And try to have a new toothbrush every 3 months, to make sure your teeth are in tip top condition!
