  • " I think you’ve just LOST something very IMPORTANT Nikki!" ( Tales 96 )
  • Propels the Action by....
  • **MacKenzie writes in the diary**…."You obviously have no idea that your precious little DIARY is missing. I can’t wait to see you have a BIG FAT HISSY FIT when you finally realize it’s gone…." (Tales 106 )
  • Outcome
  • "It's got to be in here somewhere" Tales (129)
  • Mackenzie accidentally finds Nikki's diary, after It falls out of Nikki's backpack. Mackenzie then decides to keep it for "safe keeping."
  • Initial Dialogue or Event
  • "OMG! Brandon just left a letter for Nikki? How sweet and romantic! NOT!" Tales (173)
  • As Mackenzie reads Nikki's diary, she also writes in Nikki's diary. Now Mackenzie knows personal things about Nikki and uses that as an advantage.
  • Propels the Action by...
  • ".....Where is she?......." (Tales 182 )
  • This propels the plot forward as Nikki searches daily for her diary, as Mackenzie writes in the diary and we read the diary.
  • Outcome
  • *sigh*
  • *enjoys controlling Nikki's life
  • MacKenzie comes upon a note on Nikki's locker. She reads it and discovers it's from Brandon, Nikki's crush who is also her crush. In the note Brandon asks Nikki to come meet him after school. MacKenzie snatches the note preventing Brandon and Nikki from seeing each other.
  • As MacKenzie observes Brandon waiting for Nikki we understand that she loves controlling Nikki's life almost like a puppet master. Because of this event there is a strain in Nikki and Brandon's friendship because he feels as if Nikki blew him off purposely. ( In the note Brandon says he needs to talk to Nikki about something important.
  • MacKenzie enjoys the awkward tension between as it continues. Mackenzie’s actions in these two instances and many others influence the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of Nikki, Brandon and later others. ( Tales 184 )
  • *sigh* *is miserable*
