  • Ordinary World
  • AHHHHHHH...
  • Call to Adventure
  • We'll release Eurydice on one condition.
  • Refusal
  • I just want to hold her one more time, but now I can't.
  • Orpheus fell in love with a nymph named Eurydice, the daughter of the sea-god Nereus. Their married life was full of joy and happiness. One day, Eurydice was bitten in the foot by a venomous snake, which lay concealed in the long grass. She died of the wound.
  • Mentor / Helper
  • Orpheus went to the Underworld in order to entreat Hades to restore to him his beloved wife. Orpheus played some music and after they heard him play the lyre they consented to the release of Eurydice on one condition that he should not look upon her until they reached the upper world.
  • Crossing the Threshold
  • His longing to behold her once more became at last so unconquerable, that he determined to brave the horrors of the lower world, the Underworld, in order to entreat Hades to restore to him his beloved wife.
  • Test / Allies / Enemies
  • THIS IS YOUR FINAL TEST!
  • It was the god Apollo who taught Orpheus how to play the lyre when he was an adolescent. Orpheus worshipped him.
  • Thank you so much sir. I love it.
  • Everything was perfect until he was just about to pass the extreme limits of Hades . He turned to convince himself that his beloved wife was really behind him. He stretched out his arms to embrace her, she was caught back, and vanished from his sight for ever.
  • NOOOOOOO... She can't leave me again
  • The biggest test Orpheus had to face was when he had to pass the extreme limits of Hades.
