As Odysseus threatened to kill all the suitors, they all began to blame everything on Artinous. Yet, Odysseus did not fall for it one bit.
Odysseus still made it clear that no suitor will leave alive. The suitors tried fighting back, yet Odysseus seemed to know what he was doing; shooting bows at suiters left and right.
With his son Telemachus, and the goddess Athena " deflecting thy suitors' arrows", Odysseus was pretty successful with defeating the suitors.
The room was "soon reeking with blood". Therefore the battle with the suitors came to an end, and Odysseus prepared to meet Penelope.
