King Acrisus takes a journey to Delphi to ask the God if one day he would have a son. The priestess told him no, and that his daughter would have a son that would kill him.
To ensure that he wouldn't be killed by his grandson, King Acrisius locked his daughter, Danae, in an underground bronze house. This way she could never have a son.
One day zeus came to Danae in the form of a shower of gold.
Danae then had a son who's father she was certain was Zeus.
When king Acrisius found out about his daughters son he was extremely angry. He didn't want to kill them so he thought of another plan.
The king built a great chest and had Danae and her son placed in it. They were then cast to sea.
