Hi my name is Agata. I will be teaching you about the clothing in ancient Greece.
We dyed our tunics and cloaks in bright colors, and decorated them in geometric designs.
We used wool for winter clothing and linen for summer.
Women would wear a long tunic called peplos, and men would wear a tunic called chiton.
To make cloth we used a spindle to spin the fibers of wool into fine threads. Then we would weave the threads together using a wooden loom.
Us Greeks wore jewelry made from precious metals like gold and silver. The most popular type of jewelry we wore was a decorated pin or fastener.
