  • Monarchy
  • Dictatorship
  • Theocracy
  • A Monarchy is a type of government where rulers inherit their power. For example, when the title of king or queen is passed down through a royal family.
  • Oligarchy
  • A Dictatorship is when one person holds all the power; nobody else has any say over the ruling of the government/country. For example, Hitler in WW2.
  • Anarchy
  • Theocracy is when you don't abide by a government, but you believe in and follow religion instead. The religion you choose to follow IS your government.
  • Democracy
  • Oligarchy is when you may not have any one particular ruler, but instead your leadership consists of multiple people; usually a small group. 
  • Anarchy is when you don't have a specific government/leader. 
  • Democracy is when there may be one announced leader, but the people's votes matter and are taken into account for all decisions. There are two types of democracy - Direct and Representative.
