  • Philosophy
  • Hoover had ideas to try and help stabilize the economy but sadly most of his idea soon failed. Hoover had little success when he created and funded public programs, but where he messed up is when he did the Mewt-Hooley Tariff.
  • Public Initiatives
  • Hoover was a republican president. During World War I Hoover helped calm hunger overseas and also was an exemplified business man.
  • FDR
  • Hoover's philosophy during the Great Depression believed the the economy was going to fix itself and that the Government shouldn't interfere. People believed Hoover was in fault of the increasing of the Great Depression and Hoover's assisting was his downfall in the 1932 election
  • Philosophy
  • When the Great Depression hit , Roosevelt tried his hardest to put the Americans back to work. A lot of his ideas succeeded such as the CWA, CCC, and the TVA, these programs helped a lot of Americans get jobs . FDR also planned to protect and the farmers.
  • Roosevelt was a democratic president. He severed under President Woodrow Wilson as Assistant Security in the Navy. Sadly he he diagnosed with polio and was never cured.
  • Roosevelt philosophy was he believed that he should help with the Great Depression by doing extreme changes to the economy to help the Americans get work. Since he helped with the Great Depression FDR won the 1932 election
