Wolf by Wolf Ryan Graudin 2015 Nathan Mignot 4th hour
It was March 10, 1956 and just turning fall when the race starts across Germania and into greater east Asia co-prosperity sphere (Japan) was a race to prove which side was better and give them bragging rights but this year it was different, this year the resistance planned to kill the Führer and start a rebellion. When the Führer said "on your mark, get set, go" ( pg 65) he had just signed his Away his life. With the book being set in the World War Two where Hitler won. It creates a setting that everyone can understand.
The book follows a girl that was put into a concentration camp and experimented on. She hated everyday of it and eventually they did so many experiments that her mother didn't even recognize and it broke her. Her mother yelled at her screaming "That isn't my daughter , that's a monster"(pg85). What really made her the way she is, is the five wolves or her fives friends that helped her, they taught her how to survive or taught her some other skill in survival or they just showed her companionship.
The main character has been tested so much in the story so far but now she has something she has to deal with personally but also one where she has a lot of people depending on her to finish something (“It has to be in public. In front of the cameras. With lots of witnesses.” when she asked why she couldn't just assassinate the Führer) (pg 56) so everyone can do there part in the plan that she set in motion . She is dealing with the trauma and sorting out her problems that happened with her mother and also in the camp with Doctor Greyer and on top of that she can't even remember her own face. Then she has a mission from the resistance to kill the Führer and she has to succeed because the world is counting on her to start the turn of events. These flaws will be tested by all the pressure and challenges that will be on the road to the finish line.
In this story I think that the Führer is the antagonist because of he didn't win the war or have thought of an "occupied Africa and Europe" (pg 19) none of this would have happened millions of people wouldn't have died. All of the issues in this story are caused by him if he wouldn't have invaded other countries or come to power none of this would have happened
