Storyboard Text

  • Oedipus, it saddens my heart to be the bearer of such bad news.
  • Your father, Polybus, has passed away from old age, He's gone Oedipus.
  • Poor old man, my condolences go to the city of Corinth.
  • Oedipus, do you know what this means?!?
  • The prophecy can't come true your father has passed from natural causes.
  • What a relief, these silly and foolish oracles, portraying prophecies, are all rubbish!
  • Oedipus, this whole prophecy has been proven false, give it a rest, you've sat foreboding the words of this oracle far to long.
  • But wait.., I fear the second half of the prophecy could come true, that i marry and lie with my mother.
  • Oedipus, Merope wasn't your real mother.
  • The messenger informs Oedipus of the news, and Jocasta rejoices at the proof that the prophecy could not come true.
  • You were found in the wilderness, with your ankles pinned together.
  • How do you know of this messenger!?!
  • Because the Shepard had found you, one of Laius servants at the time.
  • The servant gave you to me, and i gifted the King and Queen with a child.
  • This Shepard you speak of, must arrive her at any time as i have summoned him to the manor.
  • Oedipus..., you must call this investigation off at once.
  • I beg of you, please Oedipus.
  • I will unravel this mystery, find out who murdered Laius, and the origin of my birth.
  • I will call this off at nothing Jocasta, i yearn to find the truth out.
  • Jocasta realizes the truth, and is trembling in fear, she begs Oedipus not to follow through with the investigation.
