  • Chapter 5
  • OH! Please don't do none pf that. George gonna say I did a bad thing.
  • George and Lennie are two ordinary guys running from a problem they has in Weed. They mention a dream they have. The men symbolize the average person during that time period. There dream is the american dream. Therefore this scene is showing two average people having a dream but also having obstacles.
  • Chapter 6
  • Candy who is a worker on the ranch dog was shot by Carslson. The dog was very old and the other workers could not live with it anymore. The death of Candy's dog foreshadow's Lennie's death. Candy's dog is like Lennie because both hold the people that take care of them back. This scenes theme is that friends should look out for one another.
  •
  • In this scene Lennie is in the barn with curly's wife. Lennie started to touch her hair and she started to scream.  Lennie kills her because he didn't want George to hear. This scene will be the climax of the story. The plan that the men had seemed to be going very well. But because Lennie does this the dream can no longer happen. The theme is that all of our actions have consequences.
  •
  • The scene is when the dream dies. This scene is when George kills Lennie. This is very important because it shows George killing there dream. The theme is that even the best plans we make will often fail. There dream was them living on the ranch but that can not happrn.
