  • The astronomers in India during the Gupta Empire caculated that one solar year was 365.358 days long. Which is only 3 hours more than modern scientists have found.

  • The Gupta people wrote and performed many plays and shows. They made political, comedical, and historical plays.

  • India had great strides in medicine during the Gupta Empire including a cure for small pox. But one of the gratest acheivements was inventing plastic surgery.
  • During the Gupta Empire Indian mathmaticians came up with the concept of pi. They also developed the decimal system.
  • Behold pi!
  • During the Gupta Empire literature was written only in sanskrit. Writers wrote poetry, plays, and legal and religious texts.
