Storyboard Text

  • I am Pygmalion and a very talented sculptor. I gave up hope on women and swore to be a bachelor.
  • Since I am a sculptor, I carved out my dream woman from ivory and named her Galatea.
  • I fell in love with my own creation. I keep kissing and hugging her as if she is real.
  • I even buy her gifts, dress her up and put her to bed.
  • It was time for Aphrodite Festival. After Pygmalion gave his gift to Aphrodite, he begged the Gods to find a real women like the ivory statue Galatea.
  • I will grant your wish Pygmalion, do not fret!
  • When Pygmalion came home, he kissed Galatea and she turned into a real woman.
  • Additional info: Ovidius didn't name the ivory statue.
  • As soon as Galatea layed eyes on Pygmalion she fell for him too.
  • They got married and had a child named Paphos whose name was given to Aphrodite's center in Cyprus.
