It is a Saturday, Greg plans to be very negligent, as he does not focus on school and decides to watch TV all day. A medium shot with an eye level angle would be perfect to show this negligent attitude to the audience, as it would portray a comical theme to make the audience laugh about his general attitude and also to make use of the messy setting to show Greg`s laziness.
Greg`s dad tries to persuade Greg to be outdoors and do some exercise. This scene would be taken outdoor, Greg`s dad is leaving the house and notices his neighbors three kids being very athletic. An over the shoulder to a facial close up would be a good shot to portray how devastated Greg`s dad is, to see his son do some exercise. This shot also gives the audience some sympathy for Greg`s father.
Good to see you boys!
Greg got kicked out of the house by his dad and decides to do execute an interesting idea given to him by his school mate named Albert Sandy. I will be using a follow shot closing into Greg`s face, slowly turing it into a flashback showing the story of Albert sandy. This would build up the excitement for audience. It would also portray to the build up of the idea and also show depict Greg`s nasty childish thoughts!
Greg started to head for Reilly, as his mother did not seem to like the idea of digging a hole in the lawn. I am going to be using a wide shot eventually turning into a shot reverse between the conversation, to show the audience how the idea would lead to a very explosive plan and therefore, show the intensity.
Greg decides what to put into the time capsule with Reilly, as the previous idea thought got cancelled. They fall into an argument! There will be a medium shot used to portray the argument in a wide angle. This would also show the setting and lighting used to portray a childish act for the audience.
A start to a rough week for Greg on a Monday morning, as he was looking for his bathrobe. There is a macro shot used to show the doorknob, to build up the tension in the audience`s mind. There would then be a flashback transition used to show how Greg`s dad didn't like the idea of Greg wearing the bathrobe. The flashback would give the audience previous knowledge and create an interesting comical plot to the scene.
