Fire At The Church
Ponyboy feels that he needs to help the kids or else he will be really sad. This is a easy setting because he knows right away to help those children. On the other hand it will be hard because you could die. Also, this setting threatens him because he almost died.
This character is challenged by Johnny because Johnny dies and that is really hard to get through. Ponyboy feels really sad because they been through a lot together. Also, Ponyboy, Johnny and the rest of the gang are family. Johnny makes things harder for Ponyboy because he died so he has more problems to deal with.
Ponyboy feels that he almost died because Johnny saved him. But then he feels kind of confused because Johnny killed Bob. Ponyboy never suspected this. These feelings change through out the book because he forgets later on.
