A regular pentagon has a apothem of 12m, the side length is about 8m. Use the formula: A=1/2Pa to find the area of the pentagon. *The perimeter of the hexagon is about 8(5) = 40m. (Note: that the perimeter was not given so the side length given which is 8m, is multiplied by the number of sides of the polygon: 5 (pentagon has five sides) and that will give you the perimeter; 40m) *Now substitute the values. A≈1/2Pa A=1/2(40)12 A=240m

OHHH, yeah I get it now. All you have to do is use the formula. And find the variables when they are not given. And then substitute in the variables after you've determined them, into the formula.
