Rama and Lakshmana meet Jatayu's brother, he tells them the location of Sita.
"Do you know where Sita is?"
"She is in the Asoka garden near Ravana's palace."
Hanuman and his monkey are must cross a vast ocean to get to the Asoka garden to rescue Sita. With great strength, Hanuman is the only one who crosses the ocean to save Sita for the sake of Rama.
Hanuman sees Sita being guarded by many demons. He waits until they all fall asleep to approach Sita and deliver his message from Rama.
Finally all the demons had fallen asleep. Hanuman approached Sita and gave her the ring Rama had sent with Hanuman. In exchange Sita gave Hanuman a jewel for Rama.
"Do not fear. I am Hanuman, Rama's servant and messenger. He has sent me to find you. He cries for your return."
At that moment the demons awoke and Hanuman was taken to the palace. Because he was a messenger he could not be killed, only punished.
For Hanuman's punishment the king wrapped his tail in cloth and lit it on fire. In return as Hanuman flew away he lit everything in Lanka on fire, except for Sita and the area she was in to keep her safe.
