  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax

  • Falling Action
  • The rising action is when Bilbo teams up with a bunch of other hobbits, to go on the adventure with them. They meet some trolls that try to eat them. Bilbo was trying to pick-pocket one of them. But they all got away.
  • Resolution
  • When Bilbo finally defeats a spider, he feels like he is worthy enough to be the leader of the group.
  • Theme
  • Bilbo and Gandalf start to travel back home. They were traveling back home because they had finally resolved the prejudice between all of the creatures that lived. And Bilbo has an appreciation for his home, because of his adventure.
  • Bilbo is happy that he finally got home, and he can be cozy. While Gandalf is still adventurous. Everyone is happy at the end, and they all feel completed.
  • The theme is that you should always believe in yourself, no matter what happens to you. In the beginning of the story, Bilbo is shy and timid. And at the end he got over his shyness and timidness, and became the hero of their adventure.
