  • Scene begins with a little girl who is pointing at a t.v. of a Disney Princess saying "Mommy, mommy I want to look like her when I grow up!
  • Mother tells daughter to turn the t.v. off. She then explains to her daughter that the bodies of Disney Princesses are unrealistic and conform to a term called "the male gaze"
  • *The mother and the daughter go to their bookshelf*
  • The mother pulls out a book and paraphrases, Bell Hooks, Oppositional Gaze. Explains to her daughter that she is beautiful just the way she is. 
  • The little girl asks, "Mommy, is the Male Gaze only in Disney movies?" 
  •  The camera zooms into the mom's face as she prepares to get into a deeper conversation.
