  • WARNING
  • When I'm in class I may get irritated by the noises that Joseph makes.
  • TAKE DEEP BREATHS
  • KIND WORDS ONLY
  • STAY CALM
  • STAFF WILL SPEAK TO JOSEPH
  • COUNT TO 10
  • Everyone becomes irritated from time to time. When people become irritated, frustrated or angry they may say or do things that get them into trouble.
  • When I become irritated, frustrated or angry I may say things to Joseph that end up in an argument and get me into trouble with Ruth or Claudia.
  • STAY CALM
  • I'm calm
  • I let staff deal with it
  • Positive behaviour is best
  • When I become irritated I can try to stay calm. That is the SMART thing to do!
  • I CAN TELL STAFF HOW I FEEL
  • I can take several deep breaths until I feel calmer. Then I should count to 10 before saying anything. Next I should let staff know what is bothering me. Staff will deal with the situation; not me.
  • Getting angry with people is not the best choice. STAYING CALM is the SMART choice and feels great.
