ok sounds good to me!!!!
we'll eat here while I tell you about my father.
it was November 15, 1864 when he started his march from Atlanta to Savannah. He marched to Savannah in order to take over the port there.
Sherman burned everything in his path. This tecnique was called "scorched earth". This hurt the south's economy.
Sherman also ate off of the land, then burned the field afterward. This also hurt the south's economy because agriculture was their main business.
Once Sherman arrived at the port the mayor fled with little to no fight. As Sherman gained control of the port this became a huge advantage in the war, and gave the south a big blow.
