Animal Farm By George Orwell Presentation: Nick D
After the animals take over the farm, Napoleon, Squealer, and Snowball make themselves the leaders. They wrote the 7 commandments which made them look superior because they taught it to all the animals. They also make the animals sing the song The Beasts of England after every meeting.
Napoleon and Snowball started campaigning about who has better ideas to run the farm at the meetings. Napoleon gets scared that he will not win the election and he sabotages Snowball’s plans of the windmill by urinating on them. The farm animals were divided about whether or not to build a windmill.
After Snowball was chased off the farm by Napoleon's dogs, he was blamed for almost any problem that happened. Snowball's plans to make a windmill where stolen by Napoleon. After is it was built, it fell over during a storm. The breaking of the windmill was blamed on Snowball coming in at night and destroying it single handedly.
Napoleon killed some animals on the farm because he thought they were in contact with Snowball. 4 pigs, 3 hens, a goose, and 3 sheep were all slain on the spot after confessing their crimes against the farm. The rest of the animals were left in shock.
The animals on the farm can no longer tell the difference between humans and pigs. The pigs start to drink alcohol, handle money, and walk on their hind legs. All of these things were against the original commandments. The pigs start to treat the animals like Mr Jones did and life on the farm never changed.
