  • Bah, Humbug!
  • Merry Christmas Uncle Scrooge!
  • We are raising money for the poor, What shall we put you down for?
  • Nothing, I wish to be left alone.
  • You'll be wanting all day tomorrow, I suppose?
  • If quite convenient, sir.
  • Fred (Scrooge's nephew) wishes Scrooge a Merry Christmas, but Scrooge says mean stuff, and doesn't care.
  • Who were you?
  • Who are you?!
  • Ask me who I was.
  • In life, I was your partner, Jacob Marley.
  • Fred leaves, two portly gentlemen enter, they ask for donations to the poor.
  • Who and what are you?
  • I am the Ghost of Christmas Past, I am here for your welfare.
  • Two Portly gentlemen exit, Scrooge tells Cratchit (Scrooge's clerk) he can have the day off for Christmas.
  • Good heavens! I was at school at this place! I was a boy here!
  • Cratchit exits, Scrooge walks into his house, Marley's ghost appears, wrapped in chains.
  • The Ghost of Christmas Past enters.
  • Scrooge opens a book and sees his past and his childhood.
