Punic War 1
Punic War 2
Punic War 3
The first Punic War was a navy battle. The Romans didn't have a very good navy, but had a good army. They made a bridge that could swing over to the enemy ship and they could send solders over. That is how they won the first war. Since they won they got the island of Sicily, and they signed a peace treaty.
The second Punic War was won by Rome. Hannibal, the army leader of Carthage, attacked Rome. They could not get into the Gates of the city, so they waited outside for years. Rome later attacked Carthage and Hannibal had to go back and defend his city. Rome won and they got money, land, and resources.
The third Punic War was started because Rome attacked Carthage because Carthage was regaining power. Rome feared that Carthage would attack again, so Rome went and finished Carthage. As a result Rome got more land.
