Communicating with parents
This storyboard does not have a description.
It's the first day of school! I am so excited to learn more about my students!
I should probably call parents and introduce myself! I want to start on a positive note!
After calling parents, Miss D went on about teaching about music.
One day, Evelyn started bullying another student in class.
After de-escalating the situation and speaking with Evelyn, she wrote a note to be signed by the girl's parents so they knew of the situation.
Have your parents sign this and return to me next class.
Miss D kept a record of all behavior issues and notes that were signed. If no signature came back, she followed up with a phone call.
Miss D made sure to keep Evelyn's parents updated on behavioral issues, but also informed them about successful days.
During parent teacher conferences, Miss D and Evelyn's parents went over the Evelyn's behavior data tracking materials. A plan was made at home and school to help Evelyn overcome her behavioral problems.
