Independent reading project 2018
Little Princes By Conor Grennan
It takes place in Kathmandu, Nepal. Conor Grennan volunteers at an orphanage in Nepal called Little Princes. He travels to Nepal to meet the founder of the orphanage, Sandra, the other volunteers, and of course the children.
As days went by, Connor became very close with the children. He wanted to protect them. There was a strange man leaving the orphanage, so he asked Sandra who he was. He was a child trafficker. He was the one who took the orphan's away from their families. Sandra had bought the orphan's from him and created Little Princes orphanage.
After Connor had left after a few months, he traveled the world with his good friend Glenn. He had remembered he promised the children to come back a year later and he did. A day after he got back there was a women who claimed she was 2 of the childrens mother, and she was. She explained how these childrens parents were not dead. Their families were alive.
Shortly after Conor Grennan went back to the United States, he settled down in to a New Jersey home. He then one day got an email that would change his life forever. The email said that a foundation called the Umbrella Foundation, tried to find seven missing children that were taken by Golkka, the child trafficker. When Conor read this he went back to Nepal, vowing himself to finding the children and returning them to their families.
Conor and Farid, a French volunteer, were able to find the seven missing children and return them to their families.
After this experience, Conor realized that he does not need money, clean clothes, gourmet food, or special utilities to complete a goal. If you really want to do something, to complete something, it is the drive inside of you that pushes you to do it no matter the challenges. Conor Grennan even though been put through the wringer, he finds away to overcome certain things and had given up so much of the person he once was just to save the Little Princes and reunite them with their families. Conor and Farid said goodbye to eachother at the airport and went back to their normal lives, but never will they forget Little Princes.
