Well you see my boy, to tell you that. You'll have to know about the history of the newspaper...
So grandpa, why are you so mad about the newspaper dissapearing?
See, The earliest predecessors to printed newspapers were printed news pamphlets, which appeared as early as the late 1400s in Germany. Their purpose was more entertainment than information, as their content was presented as facts, but was heavily sensationalized.
well you see...
But what about us here in Canada?
The first Canadian newspaper, the Halifax Gazette, was printed in 1752.
Yes that is true, but think about this. Half of the factual information that gets on news, radios and political tv shows come from the journalism of newspapers.
But now, we have phones and computers and stuff. That is way faster than newspapers. Right?
Let me explain, the interview from reporters gets the information first hand, while tv, and social media hear about their information from other places. so ithe story could have been modified or changed, not that the newspaper is 100% factual
What do you mean?
I get it now.. NEWSPAPERS ARE AWESOME!!!
