Storyboard Text

  • Patrick had a dream. He believed that god sent him this dream that in the south of Ireland there was a boat waiting for him (Co. Wexford.) He escaped and travelled many miles. He found a boat that was leaving for Britian. He asked could he get on and they said there was no room. He turned and prayed to god. After a few minutes of praying they let him on.
  • Patrick was born in Britian. He lived a good life, he didn't really understand religon.
  • Patrick had another dream that God wanted him to go back to Ireland and become a missionary for Ireland. He said that the people there needed to be taught how to practice religon properly. He went back to Ireland.
  • Patrick was kidnapped and taken to Ireland by pirates. They travelled by boat.
  • He was made a slave in Ireland. He turned to God for help and he found religon. He looked after sheep, where we think is modern day county Mayo.
  • He made it to Britian.
  • He went back to Ireland and became a monk. He opened many monasteries and that is how the monestries started. St Patrick's day is still celebrated on March 17th
